We’re looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team and provide financial and administrative support to our Australian finance operations. This role is key to ensuring accurate financial data, compliance, and efficient delivery of core accounting processes. If you have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, including invoice entry and coding.
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, supplier) and reporting.
  • Support payroll processing and tax compliance (BAS/IAS, payroll tax, FBT).
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and assist with end-of-month/year activities.
  • Collaborate with the Australian finance team to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance support roles.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and accounting systems (Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks; JD Edwards preferred).
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with Australian stakeholders.
Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA qualification or ongoing CPA studies.
  • Experience in a BPO or Managed Services environment supporting Australian clients.
