Mason Black + Mendelsons Lawyers specialises in insurance law, commercial dispute resolution, commercial litigation and debt recovery, including motor vehicle property damage matters. This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse litigation portfolio, gaining exposure to court appearances, client liaison, legal drafting and dispute resolution within a supportive and collaborative team.

We welcome applications from solicitors with motor vehicle property damage experience, as well as those from adjacent litigation, insurance or dispute resolution backgrounds who are looking to develop specialist expertise and build a long-term career in this area of law.

This role is not hybrid and requires on-site attendance at our CBD office (100m from Town Hall station), 5 days per week.

Working alongside an experienced Senior leadership team, you'll manage your own matters, strengthen your advocacy skills and take ownership of meaningful work from an early stage of your career.

What You'll Be Doing;

• Managing your own portfolio of files and legal matters
• Drafting clear, accurate advice and legal documentation
• Attending court appearances, hearings and related proceedings
• Preparing briefs and working closely with Counsel
• Building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Managing competing priorities across multiple active matters
• Achieving positive commercial and client outcomes
  
  

What You'll Bring;

• Approximately 2–5 years' post-admission legal experience
• Experience in litigation, disputes, insurance or related practice areas
• Strong legal drafting, research and analytical capability
• Well-developed advocacy and client liaison skills
• Ability to manage matters autonomously and proactively
• Commitment to building expertise and a long-term legal career
