This is a genuine partnering role for someone ready to step into broader HR Business Partner scope.
Reporting into the People, Performance & Culture function, you’ll partner closely with operational leaders to coach, advise and uplift capability across people leadership, employee relations and workplace health and safety. You’ll operate as a trusted advisor - helping leaders identify gaps, manage risk, and embed practical, compliant people solutions that work in a fast‑paced operational environment.
A key component of this role is hands‑on involvement in workplace health and safety, including audits, compliance activities, workplace assessments and supporting the business to meet current legislative requirements.
This opportunity is well suited to an experienced HR Advisor or Consultant who is ready to step into a Business Partner title and remit.
- Partnering with leaders to provide practical, commercial and values‑led people advice aligned to business outcomes
- Coaching leaders through performance management, employee relations, investigations and resolution of people issues
- Acting as a trusted advisor, identifying people and capability gaps and supporting leaders to uplift their management practices
- Providing hands‑on support across work health and safety, including audits, compliance, workplace risk assessments and follow‑up actions
- Supporting leaders to understand and meet WHS and employment legislation obligations
- Contributing to the development, review and continuous improvement of people and safety policies
- Analysing people and safety trends to identify risk and support early intervention
- Working collaboratively with the broader People, Performance & Culture team to ensure a consistent, practical approach
- Experience working in an HR Advisor or HR Consultant role, with exposure to complex employee relations matters
- Demonstrated working knowledge of WHS / OHS, including legislation, audits, compliance and workplace assessments
- Strong understanding of Australian employment legislation and awards
- Confidence coaching and influencing leaders using a considered, pragmatic and solutions‑focused approach
- Sound judgement when balancing risk, compliance and commercial outcomes
- Strong stakeholder management skills with a positive, partnering mindset
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a close, collaborative team
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
