About the Client

Our client is a leading Australia-based provider of Outside School Hours Care (OSHC), delivering engaging before and after school programs and vacation care experiences for children and families nationwide.

With a strong focus on customer experience, participation, and operational excellence, they rely on data and insights to better understand customer behaviour, improve performance, and support informed decision-making across the business. As they continue to evolve, there is a growing emphasis on using analytics to uncover opportunities, strengthen engagement, and enhance outcomes for both customers and operational teams.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with our client to hire a Business Insights Analyst to help transform data into meaningful business decisions.

This role is focused on understanding why things happen, not just reporting on what happened. You will work closely with stakeholders across the business to investigate challenges, analyse trends, identify opportunities, and provide practical recommendations that drive action.

Working across areas such as customer behaviour, attendance, retention, segmentation, and operational performance, you will play an important role in helping teams make better decisions through data and insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate business questions and challenges using data and analysis
  • Identify trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities across customer and operational performance
  • Conduct analysis across areas such as customer segmentation, attendance, retention, and business performance
  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Operations, Commercial, and Finance to understand business needs and deliver meaningful insights
  • Develop dashboards, visualisations, and analytical outputs that support decision-making and performance management
  • Present findings and recommendations in a clear and compelling way to stakeholders across the organisation
  • Monitor key performance indicators and proactively highlight opportunities for improvement
  • Support continuous improvement through better analytical practices, reporting capabilities, and data-driven decision-making

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a Business Insights Analyst, Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar analytics-focused role
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Experience using Power BI, SQL, Excel, and related analytical tools
  • Ability to transform complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience working across multiple teams and business functions
  • Ability to translate business questions into structured analytical approaches
  • Commercial mindset with a customer-focused perspective and strong attention to detail

Nice to Have

  • Experience with customer, marketing, or operational analytics
  • Exposure to customer segmentation, attendance, retention, or churn analysis
  • Experience with advanced analytical techniques and modelling
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled analytical tools
  • Strong data visualisation and storytelling capability
  • Experience working within a large or multi-site operational environment
