At Symbos, we design and operate large‑scale, multi‑client contact centre environments that support complex, high‑volume customer operations. As we continue to grow our outsourcing and CX technology capability, we’re looking for a System Architect who combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness and polished client engagement skills.
This is not a back‑of‑house architecture role. You’ll be highly visible, trusted by clients, and expected to think several steps ahead - anticipating what’s needed next and acting on it without being prompted.
What You’ll Be Doing;
- Designing and governing end‑to‑end architectures across contact centre platforms, cloud infrastructure, CRM and integrations.
- Anticipating future platform needs, risks and dependencies, and proactively shaping solutions ahead of demand.
- Translating business strategy and client requirements into clear, pragmatic architecture decisions.
- Working directly with clients as a trusted technical advisor, clearly articulating complex concepts in a professional and commercially aware way.
- Supporting presales activity, RFPs and solution design conversations.
- Establishing architecture standards, patterns and documentation across a multi‑client environment, with security and compliance embedded by design.
What You’ll Bring;
- Strong experience in system or solution architecture within contact centre, BPO or CX‑led environments.
- Hands‑on knowledge of enterprise contact centre platforms (e.g. Genesys, Cisco or similar) and cloud environments (AWS and/or Azure).
- A proactive, anticipatory mindset - you see what’s coming next and act without needing direction.
- Confidence and polish in client‑facing environments, with the ability to engage credibly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Clear, articulate communication skills and strong commercial awareness.
- Experience working in multi‑client or outsourced environments is highly regarded; exposure to AI, automation or analytics is desirable.
What’s in it for you;
- Vibrant Workplace: Be part of a professional, inclusive and people‑first organisation where collaboration, trust and accountability are valued.
- Flexibility That Works for You: Access hybrid working arrangements that support a balance between time in the office and working from home.
- Meaningful, Visible Work: Play a critical role in shaping platforms that directly support client outcomes and business growth.
- Complex, Interesting Challenges: Work across multi‑client environments with real architectural depth and scale.
- Wellbeing First: Enjoy employee discounts, health and wellness initiatives, 24/7 EAP support and access to discounted health insurance.
- Recharge & Celebrate: Take an annual “Unplugged Day” to reset, and swap cultural holidays so you can celebrate the days that matter most to you.
- Central Melbourne CBD office with excellent transport links.
