In this role, you will:

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications and APIs with .NET Core
• Optimise data access layers using Entity Framework and advanced SQL
• Write high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures for both transactional and analytical workloads
• Integrate AI/ML-driven features and work with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS
• Ensure application and data security through encryption, secure authentication, and authorisation techniques
• Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to maintain secure CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct code reviews, write unit and integration tests, and maintain code quality
• Monitor and tune database performance, applying indexing and optimisation strategies
• Stay up to date with the latest developments in .NET, AI, cloud, and database technologies
• Participate in Agile teams, contributing to sprints and retrospectives

To thrive at Symbos, you’ll bring:

• Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in .NET Core development
• Strong skills in C#, ASP.NET Core, RESTful APIs, Entity Framework, and SQL Server
• Hands-on experience with AI APIs, ML integration, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
• A solid understanding of data security best practices and compliance (PCI, SOC2, ISO27001)
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD tools, Agile/Scrum environments, message queues, containerisation, and microservices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a high attention to detail and a commitment to secure, maintainable code
